PERFORMANCE TESTIMONIALS

Here is a small collection of my high performance clientele, those looking for coaching support to achieving a performance driven goal.

IRONMAN FINANCIER

Client Josh completing his Personal Record best finish at the Texas Ironman in 2026 which ended up qualifying him for the European World Championship.

We dialled in a full 6-month training block where the focus was to increase higher quality training volume, reduce unintentional recovery time, implement strategic lifestyle behaviours, and optimize his body composition.

“I have now been working with Julian for a year and a half. I sought his expertise to assist with strength, mobility and injury prevention, specifically targeted around my triathlons goals, including competing a full Ironman. Prior to working with Julian I had experience injuries on and off in my hip and knee so knew I needed some targeted support and structured training to take my performance to the next level.

Julian’s experience and method of coaching has enabled me to access an increased level of performance that I wasn’t expecting whilst remaining injury free and improving my overall wellbeing. I have now completed my full Ironman in 10hrs14 and qualified for my national age group team to race in the European championships.

In particular, I find Julian’s knowledge of biomechanics and targeted strength specific to my sport has been incredibly helpful and a level above any other trainer I had worked with before. His more holistic approach to wellness is also something new to me and I have worked to embrace, this has improved my overall wellbeing and has resulted in meaningful weight loss and improved sleep, all leading to improved performance, particularly in my running splits.

Overall, I would highly recommend Julian to anybody seeking to prevent injury, improve performance or improve their overall fitness and health. ”

HYROX DAD + DOCTOR

A huge milestone of completing a Hyrox race, something I seeded in Tom 9 months ago. It required intentional training, life logistical alignment, a complete mindset shift as he entered a new chapter of his 40s, and a holistic system he could maintain.

Tom and I finishing in the top 5% for Men’s Doubles in NYC. To race with Tom was a great moment. Not only as client-coach, but a friendship for many years to come.

Tom’s new high performance capabilities now match his core values and the identity he always had inside of him. He’s now setting an example for other men in their 40s within his neighbourhood, his friends, and peers.

After a great 1st Men’s Doubles race in NYC in the Spring of 2026, we rallied through some curveballs over the summer to achieve a PR in Toronto, shaving off 2 minutes, placing us 3rd place in our age category. Tom was able to boost his VO2max into the 60s at his peak with me which translated into this incredible success.

“Julian’s been a game changer for me. I’m a busy ED Doctor, a dad, just turned 40… and I’m in better shape now than I was in my 30s.
What’s been just as important as the physical side is the mental shift. I used to put my own health at the bottom of the list… behind work, family, everything else. Over time, that’s flipped. It’s not something I try to squeeze in anymore… it’s just part of how I operate. That change alone has made a big difference.
The training itself is very intentional. Nothing generic. It’s constantly adjusted based on how things are actually going… how I’m recovering, what my schedule looks like, what I’m training toward. And honestly, one of the biggest things is how quickly he adapts to anything that comes up… aches, pains, minor strains. Instead of losing momentum or pushing through the wrong way, he adjusts things on the fly. You can tell right away his knowledge base runs deep… he knows exactly what he’s doing.
The results have followed. My VO2 max is higher than it’s been in years. I’m stronger, faster, and able to hold intensity at a level I haven’t hit before… and I’m doing it consistently, without getting sidelined.
What I appreciate most is that the focus isn’t just short-term performance. It’s about staying capable over the long run… being strong, fit, and durable as life gets busier, not the opposite.
If you’re serious about getting better and want something that actually fits into a real, busy life… Julian’s someone you want in your corner.”

BOSTON MARATHONER ENGINEER

Proud of my University Roommate Jason for setting the tone to his entry into his 40s. I’ve never known him to be a runner, but over the span of 4 years, he’s progressively dedicated himself to the sport with now a massive bucket list checkmark that only a small elite number of people on the planet can relate to as a Boston Marathon Finisher.

Our coaching engagement was very special in that it was purely friendship based. He reached out with curiosity, he demonstrated dedication, and applied all that I advised to great success. No contract, just a friend supporting a friend. This is the legacy I wish to pass on.

Jason Keller, one of my best friends, advocating for my work and expertise. It’s one thing to receive testimonials from paying clients, because an expectation is there, but it’s another thing to receive a testimonial from a long time friend who has witnessed my work over the years.

FIRST TIME MARATHONER

First time Marathon Race for Dom, finishing with an incredible 3:35 at the Salzburg Spring Marathon 2026!

“If you’re starting down your first marathon and don’t know where to start, Julian is the coach you want in your corner. Our sessions were brief but packed with incredible value. As someone trying to navigate a finicky knee just weeks out from the race, his tailored 5-week block plan was exactly what I needed—mapping out everything from targeted mobility and massage to strategic mileage builds like the crucial 37k run (iykyk).

On top of the running schedule, he dialled in ‘Dom’s Strength Routine,’ a core and lower body durability program customized for my lifestyle and schedule to build the physical stamina to handle the race. Going from square one to a pain-free, 3:35 finish at the Salzburg Marathon proved to me that his method works.

Whether you’re a first-timer or aiming for a specific time, I highly recommend Julian!”
— Client Dominik Lieskovsky (MBA, Ivey Business School at Western University)
“Since working with Julian, my fitness journey has reached new heights both physically and mentally. Previously, I solely participated in group fitness activities without seeing significant results. However, Julian’s guidance and training have completely transformed my approach to fitness and health.

Under Julian’s supervision, I have accomplished remarkable feats, such as completing a 5K run and a full marathon of 42 kilometers. Currently, I am actively training for another marathon alongside Julian’s expert coaching.

Not only does Julian focus on physical training, but he also places great emphasis on cultivating a positive mindset. His guidance has extended beyond the gym, as he consistently checks in on my personal life, recognizing its impact on my overall fitness mindset.

Initially, I underestimated the value of having a trainer, but Julian has completely changed my perspective. I am committed to training with him for the foreseeable future because there is so much more to achieve. Julian is not only my trainer but also my mentor when it comes to mindset and fitness, and I am grateful for his continuous support.

Hope this helps any future clients. Julian, you are a great asset to my life. Thank you for being there as a trainer, friend, and mentor. ”
